Job summary

Flagstar Nursing is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Avon, Indiana. The role offers 40 hours per week on a day shift, performing advanced imaging and radiopharmaceutical procedures with a focus on safety and quality.

You will operate gamma cameras and PET/CT devices while supporting patient care across settings. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of nuclear medicine experience, ARRT(N) or CNMT, BLS, and state licensure; PET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine imaging experience in hospital or outpatient settings.
• Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT (N) or CNMT) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• State licensure as mandated by local regulations.
• PET certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with prescribed dosages, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging studies such as planar, SPECT, and PET/CT scans.
• Operate gamma cameras, PET/CT scanners, dose calibrators, and related equipment.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures for adverse reactions and radiation safety.
• Coordinate image acquisition timing with referring clinicians for accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and document procedures and equipment performance.
