Job summary

Flagstar Nursing is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a Wilmington, North Carolina assignment. You will perform advanced imaging procedures, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and operate gamma cameras and PET/CT equipment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires ARRT(N) or CNMT certification, BLS, and state licensure, with a 13-week contract, 40 hours per week, day shifts. This travel position offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine imaging experience in hospital or outpatient settings.
• Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT (N) or CNMT) required.
• BLS certification.
• State licensure as mandated by local regulations.
• PET certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceutical handling and safety measures.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per dosages and safety protocols.
• Perform planar, SPECT, and PET/CT imaging studies including cardiac and bone scans.
• Operate gamma cameras, PET/CT scanners, and dose calibrators with QC procedures.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and maintain radiation safety.
• Coordinate image timing with clinicians to support accurate diagnoses.
• Document procedures and equipment performance for regulatory compliance.
