Job summary

Trinity Health's FirstChoice program seeks Nuclear Medicine Techs to join a flexible, travel-capable staffing pool. We offer local and travel assignments with premium compensation and a supportive internal resource pool designed for flexibility across hospital locations.

The role involves performing Nuclear Medicine imaging, coordinating with leadership and radiologists, and preserving image quality while following ALARA guidelines. Start date is flexible and shifts vary.

Qualifications

• Nuclear Medicine experience: eighteen (18) months minimum.
• ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine and radiologic technologist program completed.
• BLS certification required (AHA accepted).

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and exam reasons, prepare patient, position and perform imaging.
• Collaborate with Nuclear Medicine leadership and Radiologists to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment following ALARA principles.

What You Will Do

• FirstChoice Nuclear Medicine Techs are utilized to fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system, and we need you to be a part of this innovative program!

Responsibilities

• The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for reviewing the Physician Order and reason for exam, preparing the patient, positioning, and performing Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients.
• The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works closely with Nuclear Medicine leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the department protocols.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of the designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, with attention to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques.
• Collaborate with members of assigned unit as well as FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced based care within a healing culture for patients as well as families.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• Eighteen (18) months of Nuclear Medicine experience required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as Nuclear Medicine Tech by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State of Indiana Radiologic License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (Note: American Heart Association certifications only accepted.)
• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
