Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for FirstChoice, our travel staffing solution. You will fill short and long-term assignments across multiple locations, with flexible scheduling and opportunities to travel throughout the country.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, preparing patients, performing imaging, and ensuring highest quality images while following ALARA guidelines. Requires ARRT registration and BLS, with Indiana license specifics noted.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• Eighteen (18) months of Nuclear Medicine experience required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and ARRT registered.
• State of Indiana Radiologic License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.

Responsibilities

• Review Physician Order and reason for exam; prepare patient, position, and perform Nuclear Medicine imaging.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images for physician interpretation; adhere to ALARA principles.
• Collaborate with Nuclear Medicine leadership, Radiologist and unit staff to deliver Evidenced Based Care.

What you will Do

FirstChoice Nuclear Medicine Techs are utilized to fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system, and we need you to be a part of this innovative program!

Responsibilities

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for reviewing the Physician Order and reason for exam, preparing the patient, positioning, and performing Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works closely with Nuclear Medicine leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the department protocols. Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of the designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, with attention to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques. Collaborate with members of assigned unit as well as FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced based care within a healing culture for patients as well as families.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• Eighteen (18) months of Nuclear Medicine experience required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as Nuclear Medicine Tech by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State of Indiana Radiologic License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• (Note: American Heart Association certifications only accepted.)
• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
