Job summary

Trinity Health's FirstChoice program seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for flexible scheduling and travel opportunities in the Ann Arbor area. You will work across the health system to perform nuclear medicine imaging and deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements include an ARRT NM certification, a radiologic technologist program, Indiana license, BLS, and 18 months of NM experience. This part-time role offers a weekly gross rate of $3,000 and 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Willingness to float across hospital locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent Trinity Health position.

Responsibilities

• Review Physician Orders and exam reasons, prepare patient and position for Nuclear Medicine imaging.
• Work with department leadership and Radiologists to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment with ALARA principles to obtain designated body part images.
• Collaborate with unit staff and FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced-based patient care.

What you will Do

FirstChoice Nuclear Medicine Techs are utilized to fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system, and we need you to be a part of this innovative program!

Responsibilities

• The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for reviewing the Physician Order and reason for exam, preparing the patient, positioning, and performing Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients.
• The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works closely with Nuclear Medicine leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the department protocols.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of the designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, with attention to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques.
• Collaborate with members of assigned unit as well as FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced based care within a healing culture for patients as well as families.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• Eighteen (18) months of Nuclear Medicine experience required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as Nuclear Medicine Tech by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State of Indiana Radiologic License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (Note: American Heart Association certifications only accepted.)
• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
