Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience for a night shift (6 PM–6 AM) at a 350-bed hospital in Florida, serving ED, ICU and floor therapy. The NICU is Level 2 and transitioning to Level 3 this year; Meditech is the EMR system and a variety of respiratory devices are used.

Candidates must have 1 year of R Therapist experience, NICU exposure, and current BLS/ACLS; NRP is required for neonatal care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Respiratory Therapy.
• NICU experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NRP required for neonatal care staff.
• Active RRT license if applicable.
• No gaps in work history equal to 90 days or more in the past 12 months.
• One professional reference required (two for Florida and Missouri).
• Reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted.

Responsibilities

• 350-bed hospital with a Respiratory Therapy unit on the 5th floor South Tower.
• Level 2 NICU transitioning to Level 3 NICU later this year.
• Busy ED coverage with facility not a trauma center.
• Provide ED, ICU, and floor therapy services.
• Use equipment including PB 840/980, V60, Airvo 2, PocketPEP, MCG Bedside Spirometry, and RapidPoint 500e.
• EMR system is Meditech.
• Night shift hours 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Join a team of 28 staff (6 days, 5 nights).
• Grey scrubs required for Respiratory Therapy staff.
