Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Glendale, Arizona. This role requires 1-2 years of acute care RN experience, BLS, and travel readiness. 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights.

Responsibilities include caring for sick/premature infants and operating NICU equipment, with parental support as needed. The position offers weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and comprehensive benefits through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 1-2 years' recent acute care RN experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Care for infants transitioning to extrauterine life.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
• Monitor and adjust equipment such as incubators and ventilators.
