Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered RT PEDS. This position provides critical care respiratory therapy for mixed-age patients ranging from neonates through geriatrics, with a primary focus on high-acuity neonatal intensive care. The role requires competency with pediatric, neonatal, and adult respiratory care, including advanced ventilation and critical care support.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, with 3x12 or 4x12 shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience.
  • Active Maryland state license or compact license.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Experience caring for all patient age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Level III or IV neonatal intensive care experience.
  • Pediatric and pediatric intensive care experience.
  • Experience in emergency department, Level I trauma, and adult medical-surgical intensive care settings.
  • Community hospital experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Epic electronic health records.
  • Level I or Level II trauma experience.
  • Strong pediatric and adult respiratory care experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides critical care respiratory therapy for a mixed-age patient population, with neonatal intensive care as the primary focus.
  • Manages high-acuity neonatal patients, including extremely premature infants.
  • Frequently operates high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillatory ventilators.
  • Uses Maquet Servo-i and Draeger V500 ventilators, jet ventilation, oscillation, and nitric oxide therapy.
  • Maintains competency in respiratory support across neonatal, pediatric, and adult care settings.
  • Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
  • Holidays are required as scheduled.
  • A flu vaccine is required; exemptions are not permitted.
  • The assignment is scheduled for 12 weeks and begins 12/07/2026.
