Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia. The Neuroscience Inpatient Step Down Unit focuses on higher acuity patients with 31 beds, emphasizing step-down and epilepsy monitoring.

You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week on a 13-week contract, with potential weekend/holiday rotations and travel reimbursement included.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and ability to submit for licensure in the state.
• Certification in BLS and NIHSS is required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in neuro care or stepdown nursing is essential.
• Previous use of EPIC charting system is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential care to neuro stepdown patients, including those with EVDs, post-TPA care, and stroke management.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage intravenous drips as per physician orders.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and RT in managing respiratory care on the unit.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and health maintenance.
