American Traveler is seeking a travel RN in Peoria, IL for a Neuro Med-Surg Acute night shift assignment. The role requires IL RN licensure, BLS, NIHSS, and prior neuro unit experience.

Position details include 12-hour nights, 36 hours/week, and a 18-week duration. EPIC EMR proficiency is preferred; local candidates receive a rate adjustment within 50 miles. Benefits include comprehensive insurance and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required before start.
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent neuro unit experience.
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not considered.
• Heparin titration experience based on PTT.

Responsibilities

• Work in Neuro Med-Surg Acute unit in an acute care hospital.
• Care for stroke, spine surgery, seizure, brain tumor, head injury patients.
• Titrate heparin drips per PTT; monitor neuroscience patients.
