Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Scarborough, ME. The role involves operating MRI scanners, treating patients, and delivering high-quality diagnostic images while collaborating with the medical team.

The position requires completion of a Radiology program with MRI specialization, 1 year of MRI experience, and a valid state license. BLS certification is required; ARRT/ARMRIT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Radiology program with specialization/training in MRI
• Minimum 1 year MRI technologist experience
• Valid Radiology/MRI license per state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications before procedures.
• Educate patients about MRI procedures and answer questions.
• Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot MRI equipment for proper function.
• Start IVs and administer contrast media per orders and protocol.
• Monitor image quality and adjust scanning parameters as needed.
• Document procedure details including imaging parameters in hospital systems.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure accurate results.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace adhering to infection control policies.
• Follow hospital safety and radiation safety protocols.
• Perform other duties within the MRI technologist scope.
