Job summary

OrthoIllinois, a Division of Orthomidwest, is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate the MRI scanner across Rockford area clinics, prepare patients, and document procedures for radiologist review.

Travel between clinics is required, with focus on safety, high-quality imaging, and patient confidentiality. ARRT licensure and an associate degree are required or preferred, with IL state licensing in good standing.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Current ARRT license for IL state with IDNS.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepares patients for scans and explains procedures to ease anxiety.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and documents all procedures.
• Communicates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Troubleshoots MRI equipment to minimize downtime and delays.
• Provides training and guidance to new technologists.
