Job summary

OrthoIllinois is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate the MRI scanner, produce high quality imaging, and document procedures for patient diagnosis. The role involves travel between three Rockford area clinics and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in radiologic technology, ARRT RT (R) license with IL state license, and 1 year of experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft and Google suites is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Current ARRT RT (R) license with IL state license and IDNS.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft and Google suites.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment to provide high quality imaging for patient diagnosis.
• Prepares patients for scans and explains procedures to help them feel comfortable.
• Ensures patients are calm and receive the best care possible.
• Documents all billing information and sends imaging to the radiologist for reading.
• Communicates effectively with other health care professionals to coordinate care.
• Troubleshoots MRI equipment and peripheral devices to minimize downtime.
• Provides training to new technologists with regular checks and guidance.
