Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in San Jose, California. The position is a 13-week engagement with 40 hours per week, night shifts, and travel requirements.

The MRI Technologist must have 1 year of experience and current BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with proper state licensing. Responsibilities include patient prep, safety screening, image acquisition, and PACS management.

Qualifications

• 1 year MRI experience is required.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with registration.
• State-specific licensing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures.
• Interpret doctors' instructions accurately.
• Position patients for MRI scans with immobilization and safety gear.
• Assist radiologist with procedures.
• Start IVs and administer contrast as directed.
• Evaluate MRI image quality and label appropriately.
• Manage contrast media injections with power injectors.
• Follow safety procedures when handling radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Utilize McKesson PACS system.
