Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Palo Alto, California. The 13-week engagement requires 36 hours per week with a 12-hour rotating shift.

The MRI Tech will operate MRI equipment, ensure image accuracy, and prepare patients. Must have 1 year of experience, BLS, ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification and appropriate state licensing; travel experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required.
• BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with registration.
• State licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests.
• Screen patients for MRI safety.
• Interpret doctors' instructions.
• Position patients for MRI scans safely.
• Assist radiologist with procedures.
• Administer contrast media per protocol.
• Evaluate image quality and label appropriately.
• Operate power injectors for contrast.
• Follow MRI safety procedures.
• Maintain patient records.
• Use McKesson PACS system.
