Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is hiring a night shift MRI Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility in Peoria, IL, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT(MR) certification. The role involves working in Radiology/MRI across outpatient, inpatient and ED populations.

You will operate GE 1.5T and 3T scanners, be part of Epic EMR charting, and may receive a housing allowance and travel reimbursements as part of benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years MRI Technologist experience.
• BLS (AHA) and ARRT(MR) certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Knowledge of GE MRI scanner operation, MRI safety guidelines, and standard acquisition sequences.
• Must be able to start IVs.
• Epic EMR experience.
• Negative drug screen required for all panels.

Responsibilities

• Level 1 trauma acute care hospital setting in the Radiology/MRI department.
• Covers outpatient, inpatient, and ED patient populations.
• 12-hour night shifts, mostly Wednesday through Friday.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with 12 non-billable orientation hours.
• Floating required across outpatient, inpatient, and ED areas.
• 1 weekend per month required with possible holiday coverage.
• No call or standby requirement.
• Uses GE 1.5T (450W) and 3T (750W) MRI scanners.
• MRI Tech assistant (RRA) provided at a ratio of 1 per 8-hour shift.
• Charting and PACS system is Epic.
• Operate GE MRI scanners for outpatient, inpatient, and ED exams.
• Department-specific orientation is approximately 1 week, depending on familiarity with GE scanner type.
• Scrubs are not provided; standard solid-colored scrubs required and tattoos must be covered.
• Cancellation policy allows up to 12 hours per 13 weeks with no penalty.
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for a reduced local pay rate.
• No radius restriction on eligibility for the position.
• Requested time off must be submitted with candidate profile.
