Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level I Trauma center, with 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT MR certification. BLS and license may be required, and IV starts are expected. The role covers rotating day shifts, weekends, and holidays, with 36 hours per week in Omaha.

The department operates three scanners and uses EPIC, McKesson, and a transition to Merge for imaging workflow; housing and travel benefits are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience.
• ARRT (MR) certification required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Must be able to start IVs.
• Level I Trauma experience required.
• Driver's license required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a Level I Trauma center's Radiology/MRI department.
• Operates MRI scanners: Siemens Aera 1.5T, Trio 3T, Espree 1.5T.
• Performs a wide range of studies including cardiac and breast imaging.
• Average 35–40 scans per day; in-house radiologist by day, overnight coverage by night.
• 3x12 hour day shifts; 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM; 36 hours/week; weekends/holidays required.
• Call or standby to back up overnight staff for PTO or call-outs.
• Uses EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS (transitioning to Merge).
• No floating outside of MRI; performs IV starts as needed.
• One week orientation with flexible scheduling; scrubs required.
