TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Boston, MA. The role requires 1 year of MRI experience, BLS, and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with MRI registration; state licensing as needed.

The MRI Tech will operate imaging equipment, ensure image accuracy, and prepare patients for scans. Responsibilities include safety screening, patient positioning, contrast administration, and coordination with radiologists.

Formación

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT Certification with MRI registration.
• State-specific licensing when required.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods; strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsabilidades

• Confirm patient identification and explain imaging procedures.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures.
• Interpret doctors' instructions and ensure image quality.
• Position patients for MRI scans safely and effectively.
• Assist radiologist during procedures.
• Start IVs and administer contrast as directed.
• Evaluate MRI image quality and label appropriately.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast.
• Follow safety procedures around radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
