Job summary

advatixinc is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a busy MRI department in Atlanta. The travel contract lasts 13 weeks with 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and requires recent MRI experience, ARRT-MRI credentials, and strong MRI safety knowledge.

The role involves protocol selection, patient education, IV contrast administration when needed, image review, and PACS transfer, with opportunities to train staff and maintain a safe workflow in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI specialty experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or accredited MRI program.
• Current BLS certification and ARRT-MRI credential.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Review orders and clinical information to determine examination requirements.
• Screen patients for contraindications and uphold MRI safety protocols.
• Explain procedures and administer IV contrast when required.
• Position patients with appropriate pads and coils per exam.
• Set MRI protocols and scan parameters; monitor image quality during studies.
• Organize images and transfer completed studies to PACS.
• Enter patient charges into the system and assist with minor equipment maintenance.
• Train and orient new or assigned personnel; ensure a safe MRI environment.
