Job summary

Advatix, Inc. is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to support a busy MRI department in a clinical setting in Atlanta, GA.

The role involves performing MRI examinations, ensuring patient safety, selecting imaging protocols, reviewing image quality, and providing accurate diagnostic imaging support. The position is a travel contract for 13 weeks in Atlanta, with night shifts (12 hours) on Fridays through Sundays, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent MRI experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Required ARRT-MRI credential.
• Ability to work independently in a busy MRI environment.
• Prior travel assignment experience.
• Availability for weekend overnight schedule.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety and imaging protocols.

Responsibilities

• Review orders and clinical info to determine examination requirements.
• Screen for MRI contraindications and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Explain procedures to patients and administer IV contrast when required.
• Select pads, coils and positioning techniques as needed.
• Choose MRI protocols and scan parameters.
• Monitor and adjust images for diagnostic quality.
• Organize images and transfer to PACS.
• Enter patient charges into the system.
• Perform minor MRI equipment maintenance and report issues.
• Assist with training of new personnel.
• Maintain a safe MRI environment and report unsafe conditions.
