Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Franklin, North Carolina. The role requires 1 year of MRI experience, ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification with current registration, BLS, and proper licensing as required by state law.

The MRI Tech will perform imaging, prepare patients, and ensure safety and accuracy of scans. Travel assignments include weekly pay, medical benefits, and guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year MRI experience.
• Certification required: ARRT MR or ARMRIT with registration; state licensing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and explain imaging procedures to patients.
• Screen patients for MRI safety before procedures.
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
• Position patients for MRI scans with proper immobilization and safety equipment.
• Assist radiologist during procedures.
• Start IVs and administer contrast media per protocol.
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and proper labeling.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media.
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
