American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience to work in a Level IV Trauma Center serving patients from pediatrics to geriatrics in Wisconsin. The role features 12-hour day shifts and a 36-hour work week, with weekend rotation and no on-call requirements.

Required: BLS and ARRT-M certification, EPIC EMR experience, active license if applicable, and a year of recent MRI work with references.

Qualifications

• BLS and ARRT-M certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required.
• Active license required if applicable.
• Minimum 12 months of core MRI experience, with most recent within the last year.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Strong attention to detail, MRI skillset, ability to work independently, and problem solving skills required.
• Candidate's middle name or initial, DOB, and last 4 of SSN required for consideration.
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within one year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital MRI unit with 2 MRI suites.
• Treat patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Patient ratio of 1:1.
• Caseload includes ortho, neuro, GI, and breast imaging.
• Perform MRI guided biopsies including breast biopsies.
• No cardiac pacemaker scanning required.
• Supported by a Lead Tech or seasoned MRI Tech on site at all times, plus 2 MRI Techs per shift, Radiology Assistant, Radiologist, transporters, phlebotomy, RRT, and hospitalists.
• Uses EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system.
• Equipment includes Siemens 1.5 Tesla Magnet.
• 12-hour day shifts: Friday 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, Saturday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, Sunday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.
• 36 standard hours per week.
• Weekend rotation position.
• No on-call or call-back requirements.
• No floating required.
• Facility is a Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level III Perinatal Center, and accredited Level III Geriatrics center with 277 hospital beds.
• One day orientation provided for facility and unit.
• Holiday coverage expected only if needed, to be discussed in interview.
• Position intended to help with holiday coverage.
• Time off requests must be approved through the manager.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius rules.
• Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel.
