American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Midland, Texas. The position is evenings, 40 hours per week, with 5x8 shifts and on-call every other week, in a hospital MRI department with adult and pediatric imaging using GE, Philips, and Siemens systems.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years MRI experience, travel experience, ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI studies across abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine and musculoskeletal regions.
• Conduct advanced imaging procedures including MRA/MRV, MRCP, diffusion imaging and gradient echo.
• Operate GE, Philips and Siemens equipment with PACS.
• Work 5x8 evening shifts; on-call every other week and 2:30 PM–11:00 PM schedule.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and strong travel experience for a 13-week evening-shift assignment.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI department supporting adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/Trauma, and pediatric populations


• Performs imaging of abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal studies


• Conducts special imaging procedures including MRA/MRV, MRCP, diffusion imaging, gradient echo imaging, and image post-processing


• Uses GE, Philips, and Siemens equipment along with PACS


• 5x8 hour evening shifts, Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM


• On-call required every other week from end of shift Friday through Monday at 7:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required


• Strong travel experience required


• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required


• BLS certification required


• Siemens experience strongly preferred


• Cerner charting experience preferred
  
• Experience preparing and administering contrast media and starting peripheral IVs required


• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs a wide range of MRI studies across neuro, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and abdominal imaging specialties


• RTO must be submitted with application and candidates should expect to work some holidays


• Pending license accepted at submission but must be active before start date


• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius


• On-site drug screen required upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for failure
