Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Millwright for Columbus, OH area projects. This full-time field position involves installation, alignment, and maintenance of heavy machinery, with occasional travel and relocation assistance as needed.

You will work with rigging, hoists, and power tools to ensure precise machine setup and safe operation. The role requires a minimum of three years’ millwright experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years Millwright experience or comparable field experience in the construction service industry preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License or ability to attain.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Use effective interpersonal skills to maintain positive environment and relationships.
• Good understanding of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, and correct grammatical structure.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
• Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, levels, lasers, and plumb bobs.
• Dismantle machinery and equipment for shipment to installation site and perform installation and maintenance as part of a team.
• Construct foundation for machines using hand tools and materials like wood, cement, grout, or steel.
• Replace defective parts and adjust clearances to ensure optimal performance.
