Job summary

McClatchy Media Company is seeking a part-time Merchandiser to service product in multiple stores around Whitehall, OH, with extensive travel between accounts. The role is on-site, requires scheduling within weekdays, and reports to the Supervisor of Merchandising.

The position includes a competitive wage with travel time paid, and eligibility for retention/referral bonuses after 3 months. Employment contingent on background check and drug testing.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
• Conduct self in a professional manner.
• Adherence to the company's attendance policy.
• Reliable transportation for travel.
• Able to use Movista and/or other company-required applications.
• Have personal cell phone and mobile device, such as a tablet.
• Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate standards.
• Safely and efficiently replenish product and assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurements.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours; seek approval before overtime.
• Record work hours and other information using designated applications.
• Discuss duties with supervisor before performing those duties.
