Job summary

IQVIA MedTech is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, install, and maintain medical laboratory diagnostic equipment across hospitals in the United States. This 100% travel role requires coordinating with hospital staff, testing devices, and ensuring robust documentation of service activities.

Applicants should have a biomedical engineering background or substantial hands-on repair experience, strong communication, and the ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Technical School in biomedical engineering or 3-5+ years’ experience in repair, maintenance, and installation of medical laboratory diagnostic equipment.
• Biomedical, hardware, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic repair and troubleshooting experience required.
• Professional business acumen and effective communication skills required.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to travel to address repairs or maintenance.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure on-time completion of projects.
• Active, unrestricted driver license and personal vehicle required for local assignments.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
• Up-to-date immunizations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff.
• Organize, test, update, install, and configure hardware, software, and network products for medical devices.
• Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation.
• Document and submit daily data while maintaining high-quality documentation.
• Travel locally, regionally, and nationally to support customer needs.
• Maintain credentials through vendor credentialing services as required.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
