Active ASCP/AMT/HEW/AAB certifications and 18 months of MLT/MLT experience are required; a state license may be needed. Travel perks include housing allowance, health insurance, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW or AAB required.
• Eighteen months of Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician experience.
• A state license may be required.
• Ability to perform laboratory procedures and generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Test blood and bodily fluids using complex laboratory equipment.
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses or parasites.
• Measure drug and chemical levels in blood to ensure therapeutic ranges.
• Assess chemical content for nutrient deficiencies or cholesterol/blood sugar excesses.
• Follow lab protocols for analyzing, interpreting and delivering results.
