Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel Medical Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Scottsburg, Indiana. This travel position requires active certification and 18 months of laboratory experience; a state license may be required.

Shifts are 12 hours, nights, with 36 hours per week. The role includes benefits such as weekly pay, housing options, health coverage, and retirement plans through the employer. Travel assignments with MedPro come with support from a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW or AAB is required.
• Eighteen months of Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician experience required.
• A state license may be required.
• Need to have a basic grasp of scientific laboratory procedures, including using laboratory equipment and generating reports from laboratory tests.

Responsibilities

• Test blood and bodily fluids using laboratory equipment to obtain information.
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses or parasites.
• Measure drug and chemical levels in the blood to ensure therapeutic ranges.
• Use cell counters, cultures, microscopes and other equipment.
• Follow lab protocol for analyzing, interpreting and delivering test results.
