PRIDE Health is seeking a travel Medical Technologist for a travel job in Austin, Texas.

Job Description & Requirements

4. Hours: 40 hours per week
5. Shift: 8 hours, days
6. Employment Type: Travel
7. Oversees the management and replenishment of patient supply inventory throughout acute care, critical care, and ambulatory areas by performing or approving orders, reviewing cycle counts, and other duties related to maintaining the budget and financial expenses of CD by the policies of the department.
8. Manages Omnicell system, OptiFlex system, and Floor Stock Carts to ensure correct cost and revenue reporting.
9. This includes ensuring that charges for patient supplies are collected and processed accurately, and in accordance with IDS policy.
10. Reviews discrepancies with Nursing to improve charge capture compliance. Reports financial, productivity, and operational performance through monthly metrics and dashboards.
11. Proactively seeks opportunities to optimize inventory levels to improve service levels while reducing costs.
12. Reviews operational and customer service problems and provides resolution. Performs analyses to maintain customer par levels (OptiFlex, Omnicell, and Floor Stock).
13. Consults with customers to review usage reports and trends. Conducts routine nurse management operational meetings.
14. Schedule: Day shift 7a-3:30pm, with rotating weekends and some holidays
15. Qualifications: Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Technologist required with AMT or ASCP MT or MLS certification, with experience in Chemistry, Hematology & Urinalysis testing.

Required Education & Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Purchasing, Materials Management, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, Nursing, or related healthcare/technical/engineering field.
2. 5 years of experience in logistics and distribution.
3. 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
4. Valid MT or MLS certification through AMT or ASCP.
