Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring an IL RN license, Epic EMR proficiency, and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on a Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Care for a diverse adult medical-surgical patient population
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Responsible for initial assessments, developing and modifying patient plans of care, and accurate documentation
• Expected to implement unit-specific procedures and nursing interventions
• May not be on assignment at this facility for more than one year without a 6-month break before returning
• Requests for time off may not exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• No travel partners are allowed for this assignment

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary license accepted
• Minimum of one year recent relevant nursing experience required; three years preferred
• Associate’s degree in nursing (ASN) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Epic charting experience required
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
