Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed providers in clinical and surgical settings.
• Interview patients to collect medical information and measure vitals.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms and assist during treatments.
• Record medical histories, medications, allergies and test results.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens for testing.
• Explain treatments, diets and post-care instructions to patients.
• Assist with injections and suture removal as directed.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate tests/admissions.
• Maintain sterile field and proper disposal of biohazard waste.
• Document procedures accurately and promptly.
• Respond to emergencies per facility policy and document actions.
