Job summary

U.S. Dermatology Partners is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support licensed providers in clinical and surgical settings.

You will greet patients, record histories, take vitals, prepare exam and procedure rooms, and assist during procedures while maintaining sterile fields. Responsibilities include administering medications as directed, collecting specimens, documenting in medical records, obtaining consent, scheduling tests, and providing patient education on treatments and follow-up

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications.
• Detail oriented with professional attitude and reliability.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with clear grammar and spelling.
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Serve as patient advocate during exams and treatments.
• Take patient histories, vital signs, weight and height.
• Prepare examination, procedure, and operative rooms; assist provider.
• Record medical histories, medications, allergies, and test results.
• Administer medications as directed and ensure safety protocols.
• Collect specimens, log, and prepare for testing.
• Explain procedures, medications, wound care and physician instructions.
• Assist during surgical procedures and maintain sterile field.
• Prepare refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Document procedures promptly and accurately in records.
