Job summary

Dermatology Partners is seeking a Travel Medical Assistant to support clinics across the region. You will handle patient intake, assist with procedures, and document in the EMR system while traveling between locations within the region.

The role requires CMA training (or 1 year CMA experience), EMR proficiency, and strong communication and organizational skills to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• EMR experience and fluency in a variety of software packages.
• Graduate of an approved CMA program or at least 1 year CMA experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; organized, punctual, professional.

Responsibilities

• Travel to clinics in the region to cover call outs and vacations.
• Take patient history and chief complaint during intake.
• Document during exams in the EMR system.
• Assist with procedures (suturing, local anesthesia, patch testing).
• Educate patients and document disease, care, medications, and pathology.
• Process prior authorizations and send meds to pharmacy as prescribed.
• Schedule follow-ups and respond to patient messages within 24 hours.
• Ensure day start/end tasks are completed in accordance with HIPAA.
