ARMStaffing is seeking a travel RN for Med/Surg and Telemetry in Wilmington, NC. The role covers night shifts on a 12-hour schedule with a 36-hour workweek, for a 13-week contract.

The RN will manage patient care, monitor telemetry, administer meds, and support dialysis and isolation precautions. Epic experience is a plus, with benefits and travel support provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted.
• Active NC or Compact nursing license.
• Valid BCLS certification required.
• Experience with Epic charting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage medical and surgical patient care from assessment to evaluation.
• Provide telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as needed.
• Perform central line blood draws and peripheral line care.
• Assist with hemodialysis prep/post-care and colostomy care.
• Utilize Rapid Response Teams and follow isolation precautions.

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg and Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing compassionate care to patients with various diagnoses including dementia, diabetes, COVID-19, pneumonia, COPD, and more. This role requires a combination of critical thinking skills and efficient medical knowledge, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

• Manage medical and surgical patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Provide telemetry monitoring and effectively interpret dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as necessary, including insulin and blood products.
• Perform central line blood draws and manage peripheral line care.
• Assist with pre/post hemodialysis management and colostomy care.
• Utilize Rapid Response Teams when necessary and ensure adherence to isolation precautions.

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience preferred; must accept first-time travelers.
• Valid BCLS certification is required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• NC or Compact license must be active and valid.
