Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in a Med/Surg and Telemetry unit, managing a variety of patient diagnoses, including but not limited to diabetes, pneumonia, sepsis, and renal failure. The role requires effective monitoring and management of patients with dysrhythmias, and administering blood products and intravenous therapies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vitals and manage hemodynamic status.
• Administer medications including IVs, insulin, and PCA.
• Perform assessments, communicate changes to the medical team, and document patient progress.
• Implement care plans for patients with complex medical needs.
• Provide patient education on treatment regimens and health management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry unit.
• Current RN license in North Carolina or Compact state.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring is required.
