American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with night shifts and Epic charting at a Level III Trauma teaching hospital.

The position requires an active NC or compact RN license, at least 2 years in Med/Surg Telemetry, and is 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of submission.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Must pass advanced EKG exam prior to compliance.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.
• Applicants must live outside a 50-mile radius of the main campus.
• Cannot have employment background or license issues within the last year.
• Return staff must be gone for at least one year before returning as a traveler.

Responsabilités

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio is 1:5-6
• Floating required within scope, potentially to sister campus
• Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is required
• This is a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Teamwork and flexibility in floating are essential
• Royal blue and white scrubs are required
• Holiday coverage required for one holiday only during contract
• Restricted to a maximum of two contracts before a six-month break is required
• Modules must be completed prior to start, estimated 4-10 hours
• RTO is subject to manager approval, with a maximum of 4 days off allowed and only one holiday
• Applicants must provide interview availability at the time of consideration
