Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg RN for night shift with telemetry experience in Texas.

The role requires an active TX or compact RN license and BLS certification, with minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience and telemetry experience for consideration. Key duties include working on a 15-bed Med/Surg unit with a 5–6:1 patient ratio, using Meditech Expanse EMR, and covering 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts with four weekend shifts in a 4-week rotation.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Phlebotomy and ACLS experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Medical-Surgical unit (Direct Admit) within a hospital setting
• 15-bed unit staffed with 4 personnel per shift (3 RNs and 1 PCT)
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1
• Uses general medsurg equipment including bladder scanner and EKG
• Meditech Expanse EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Floating required to any medsurg or telemetry unit
• Royal Blue scrub color required
• Self-initiative, teamwork, and strong patient experience skills valued
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
