Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking an experienced Med Surg RN for a 25-week travel assignment in Springfield, IL. The role involves delivering comprehensive med-surg and telemetry care, with a focus on patient safety, collaboration with the care team, and adapting to a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of Med Surg experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions, documenting changes and reporting concerns to the care team.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients in recovery from medical conditions or surgical procedures.
