TotalMed RN in Augusta, GA is seeking a Med Surg RN for a travel assignment. The role requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts over a 14-week duration.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and BLS certification. Responsibilities include bedside assessments, patient education, medication administration, and discharge planning to support high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on immediate needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered by physician.
• Document findings and provide education and support to families.
• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Educate patients on procedures and participate in discharge planning.
