Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment in Newburgh, Indiana. You will deliver high‑quality patient care on med‑surg and telemetry units, with shifts that include nights and a 36‑hour work week.

The role requires 1 year of Med Surg RN experience, active RN license, and BLS certification; NIHSS/ACLS are preferred. Compensation includes competitive pay, benefits, and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document changes.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist physicians during treatments.
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Document patient information in the medical record.
• Collaborate with care teams to implement individualized plans.
• Manage multiple patients and prioritize based on acuity.
• Ensure infection control practices and PPE use.
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with resources.
