Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Newburgh, IN. As part of our team, you'll deliver high-quality care on med-surg and telemetry units, with a focus on patient safety and collaboration with the care team.

The role requires one year of Med Surg RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification. Expect 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and a supportive travel network with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions and document changes.
• Prepare patients for procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor responses.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from illness or procedures.
• Document patient information in the medical record and report concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.
• Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Ensure infection control practices and PPE usage are followed.
• Facilitate discharge planning with patients and families.
