TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Newburgh, Indiana. The right RN should have 1-2 years of acute care experience and will conduct patient assessments, prioritize data collection, and provide education to patients and families.

The position requires 12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week, and a 13-week assignment with a tax-free stipend to be determined. Travel RN duties include bedside care, medication administration, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Med Surg experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIH may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and record administration; report adverse reactions.
• Assist during examinations and treatments; educate patients and families.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
