Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Travel Med Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Belleville, KS. The RN will provide high-quality med-surg care, monitor telemetry, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a travel setting.

Starting ASAP, 36 hours weekly on a 12-hour night shift, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Licensure and BLS are required, NIHSS/ACLS preferred, and NIHSS optional certifications may be requested based on assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions and document changes
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist physicians
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients
• Document patient information in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans
• Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs
• Ensure infection control practices and PPE guidelines are followed
• Advocate for patients’ needs and coordinate discharge planning
