Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Lenexa, KS. You will provide patient-centered care in med-surg/telemetry units, supported by a dedicated clinical team. Enjoy competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a patient-focused culture.

The role requires 1 year of Med Surg RN experience, active RN license, and current BLS. NIHSS/ACLS are preferred. 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document changes for care teams.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics, assist physicians, monitor responses.
• Maintain safe, comfortable environment for post-procedure patients.
• Document vital signs, meds, treatments, and care outcomes in the chart.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers on care plans.
• Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Adhere to infection control, PPE, and safety protocols.
