Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a Travel Med Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in West Burlington, IA. The position is 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts for an acute care traveler.

As a MedSurg RN you will perform patient assessments, administer meds, support procedures, and assist with discharge planning while educating patients and families in a fast-paced setting. Requirements include 1–2 years of acute care experience and BLS/CPI certifications; travel experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience.
• BLS and CPI certifications required.
• Travel RN with 13-week assignment.
• Shift: 12 hours, nights; 36 hours per week.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Aids physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educates patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
