Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment in Onawa, Iowa. The RN will provide bedside care, perform assessments, and support patients and families throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of Med Surg patients, including pre- and post-op cases.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and discharge plans.
• Support discharge planning and patient education as prescribed by the physician.
