Job summary

TotalMed RN in Des Moines, IA seeks a travel Med/Surg RN for a 13-week assignment. The role is 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts, and is classified as Travel employment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and will perform bedside assessments, administer medications, and assist with discharge planning in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer prescribed medications and record administration, reporting adverse reactions.
• Document patient findings and educate patients and families.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education as prescribed.
