TotalMed RN in Florence, AL is seeking a Travel MedSurg RN for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, BLS, and involves 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

As a MedSurg RN, you will assess patients, document findings, and educate families. You will also prepare medications, change dressings, start IVs, and assist with discharge planning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plans.
