Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Med/Surg travel RN for a 12-week assignment in Little Rock, AR. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS certification, and the ability to work 12-hour night shifts for 48 hours per week.

The RN will perform bedside care, administer meds, change dressings, and assist with procedures, discharge planning, and patient education in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or soonest obtainable.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience in Med–Surg.
• Must be able to work 12-hour nights and 48 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med/Surg patients, including pre/post-op.
• Administer prescribed medications and document responses.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
