Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Nurse RN Med Surg for a 12-week assignment in Johnson, Arkansas. This Med Surg RN will deliver high-quality care in a medical-surgical unit, monitor telemetry, and collaborate with a clinical team.

The role requires 1 year of Med Surg RN experience, active RN license, and a current BLS certification. NIHSS/ACLS preferred; travel benefits and a comprehensive package are included.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document changes.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist physicians.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients post-procedure.
• Document patient information in the medical record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
• Manage multiple patients based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Ensure infection control practices and PPE use.
• Advocate for patient needs and care plan alignment.
• Coordinate discharge planning for smooth home transition.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice.
